In The Spaces Within, Jazmín reflects on the places she has lived throughout her life,
with Oaxaca holding a particularly meaningful place.
It is a city where she reconnects with her imagination, her inner child, and a freer version of herself. Over the span of eight years, these experiences have shaped multiple bodies of work across oil painting, collage on paper, and textile practices.
In 2024, she created UNA | ONE to recognize not only the inspiration rooted in Oaxaca,
but also the artisans whose collaboration has become integral to the identity of her work.

The artist’s designs are translated into embroidery resulting in an original combination of materials and techniques.
Each embroidery piece is made individually, blending haute couture finishes with inventive combinations of colors and styles. UNA stands out for its use of traditional Oaxacan embroidery as well as Alebrije painting techniques fused with the artist's painting and collage work.
